It was the 70th anniversary edition of the Experimental Aircraft Association Airventure in Osh Kosh Wisconsin. So many fabulous aircraft at the show. You could spend the week there and not see it all.

I met this small Smooth Green Snake in LBL recently. He was looking at me as I stepped out of the truck. We looked at each other and I took a few pictures and he moved on his way.

One of the most moving monuments of Washington DC is the Vietnam Wall. Over 56,000 names are inscribed on the smooth black granite panels helping us to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Thanks to the recent rains, the crops in east central Illinois are looking good. The corn is tasseling and the beans are growing rapidly. The wheat harvest just finished up.

On May 19 and 20 the Peru,Illinois Airshow featured the TBM Avenger aircraft. Several of these WWII dive bombers were present at the show. This is the type of plane that President George HW Bush flew during WWII.
It was a fantastic show.
