Cave-In-Rock, Illinois sits on a bluff above the Ohio River. To cross from the Kentucky side you take a ferry across the river.

I came through on my way home and times my stop to see the sunrise over the Ohio. It is a breathtaking view to see the sun come up there.

Cave-In-Rock itself is a small town of about 1,300 people. There is a state park that has the actual Cave-In-Rock that you can visit.

This location has been a stop for mankind for hundreds if not thousands of years.
